Welcome Mrs. "P." Thomas!

Congratulations are in order for Mrs. Pattie

Thomas, interim principal here at R. L. Young.

Mrs. "P." Thomas, as the children lovingly

call her, is a former teacher from R. L. Young and

the current School Improvement Specialist for

Talladega City Schools. Stepping in to fill the top

seat is always a challenge; however, things ran

smoothly on Mrs. Thomas' first day, January 3, 2008.

It is definitely "business as usual", especially when

visited by State Department of Education personnel,

Nan Rucks and Connie Lightsey and Talladega City's

own, Dr. Frank Buck. They arrived for a meeting with

Mrs. P. Thomas this afternoon but were gracious and

willing when asked to be photographed for the blog.

Good luck, Mrs. "P." Thomas. You're a natural!
