Talladega City Participates in School Improvement Summit

Representatives from Central Office and 2 local schools met for 3 days in Birmingham to participate in the State Department of Education School Improvement Summit. Input from all parties was appreciated as we examined the needs of our district and plans to move forward.

Leading many of the sessions was SDE School Improvement Regional Coach, Connie Lightsey, pictured above with Talladega representatives. She is always quick to encourage and praise the efforts of our district.

One of the most rewarding outcomes of the Summit was that it afforded time to share concerns and ideas for improvement. Time to discuss and plan is not a luxury educators usually have, but it is our hope that great progress will result in the time spent at this event.
